May 14, 2023

Citrimer was selected from a pool of 600 applicants to compete in the 2023 Rice Business Plan Competition (RBPC) in Houston, TX in a field of 42 other competitors. The prestigious three-day event provided us with an incredible opportunity to network with other founders, investors, and professionals - in perhaps the best location for those interested in the chemicals and materials industries.

After three days of pitching, refining, and networking, Citrimer was awarded the RBPC Alumni Network Cash Prize, Sponsored by NABACO! Special thanks to Gary Beal, PhD, co-founder and CTO of NABACO, for his enthusiasm for our company!

Citrimer is developing novel materials derived entirely from citrus plant waste that can rival and exceed legacy, crude oil-derived materials in terms of performance, unit cost, and manufacturability.
